O ano era 2019. Eu e alguns colegas do curso de Design criamos o protótipo de um appbook para um projeto acadêmico, contando a história de um artista negro que, ao pesquisar para desenvolver o protótipo, nós viemos a admirar: Robert Reed (1938-2014)
Boa parte do processo pode ser vista nesse link, mas vou compartilhar alguns pedaços dele aqui e, é claro, o resultado "final".
Incialmente, o projeto foi carinhosamente apelidado de Robert Reeader, mas, para evitar o trocadilho, o renomeamos para DOC (como em "documental", mas também como sigla para "Designer of Color").

The year was 2019. I and some fellow Design students were creating the prototype of an appbook for an academic project, telling the story of a black artist that, as we researched to develop the prototype, we came to admire: Robert Reed (1938-2014).
Much of the process can be seen here, but I'll share some bits of it and, of course, the "final" result.
Initially, the project was called Robert Reeader, but, to avoid the pun, we renamed it DOC (as in "documentary", but also as an acronym for "Designer of Color").

Uma das ideias para o aplicativo era recompensar os usuários com uma ilustração ao final de cada capítulo do "livro". As ilustrações foram feitas pelo incrível Alexandre Ferreira Rocha.

One of the ideas for the app was to reward users with an illustration at the end of each chapter of the "book". The illustrations were done by the amazing Alexandre Ferreira Rocha.
