Paper: Experiments and Explorations

This project started off with learning how to make handmade paper using various natural materials like cotton pulp, onion, rice and banana pulp; colouring the pulp, creating compostions and stories and sandwiching various materials in between pulp while making paper.
It went on to making off-the-deckle products and experimenting with the form of the paper.
Making a long panel of hand-made paper with coloured and printed magazine squares sandwiched in between. The composition and colour-balance were of key importance here.
An "off-the-deckle" fan. The fan was made completely while making the paper, using cotton pulp and sticks. There was no sticking, stitching, cutting or any other post-production process involved.
