Studio monströös was commissioned to create 8 images that explain the project “Open spaces” at Humboldforum Berlin. The Open spaces are special areas of the exhibition BERLIN GLOBAL where a group of people can create their own exhibition.
The illustrations by Rike Rothe show the process beginning with the application to the selection by a Jury and finally the completion and opening of an exhibition space.
The exhibition BERLIN GLOBAL focuses on connections between Berlin and the rest of the world in seven central topics: Revolution, Free Space, Boundaries, Entertainment, War, Fashion and Interconnection.

Beauftragt wurden 8 Illustrationen für das Projekt "Freiflächen" der Austellung BERLIN GLOBAL im Humboldforum Berlin.
Die Ausstellung BERLIN GLOBAL dreht sich um die Verbindungen zwischen Berlin und der Welt. Unabhängige Teams und Künstlerkollektive können sich mit einer Idee bewerben und auf den Freiflächen ihre eigene Ausstellung gemeinsam mit dem Stadtmuseum konzipieren.
Die Ausstellung BERLIN GLOBAL dreht sich um die Verbindungen zwischen Berlin und der Welt. Unabhängige Teams und Künstlerkollektive können sich mit einer Idee bewerben und auf den Freiflächen ihre eigene Ausstellung gemeinsam mit dem Stadtmuseum konzipieren.
Die Illustrationen zeigen den Prozess, angefangen mit der Bewerbung über die Auswahl durch eine Jury bis hin zur Fertigstellung und Eröffnung der Ausstellung.
