LED Matrix Weather Display

My project is a weather display board that uses a 16x32 LED matrix. It is my take on a home weather station. The matrix is being driven by an ESP3 microcontroller, which is making API calls to OpenWeather for the weather data. The data is displayed on the screen with custom text rendering that uses a custom-defined font. The display also shows the time, which is kept up to date by using a network time protocol server.

My user testing returned good feedback about the functionality and aesthetic design. It was commonly requested that the display also include the percent chance of rain, which it does not currently do. It was also requested that the LEDs be brighter to aid readability. I did get positive feedback overall regarding the aesthetic design overall; the contrast of wood and electronics creates appealed to my testers.
