Untitled
Three (3.75 x 4.25") hard ground and aquatint etchings
The distortion of my own memory over time is explored through recreating photos taken during 2010-2012 in the two small towns of Michigan and Ohio that I was raised in. Characteristics of the original photographs are both transformed and lost completely during the transition from Polaroid film to etchings, but the unique method of Intaglio creates an altered echo of what the images once were.
