faceless LOVER fue un encargo universitario realizado para el Laboratorio Radio Fórmula dirigido por el diseñador gráfico Manuel Córdova, el cual consistía en crear a un artista imaginario, seleccionado un estilo musical para posteriormente generar una gráfica concordante, utilizando imágenes de personas las cuales podían ser sacada de internet, uso personal, de un/a amigo/a, etc, construyendo así el estilo y género del artista.

faceless LOVER was a university assignment carried out for the Radio Formula Laboratory directed by graphic designer Manuel Córdova, which consisted of creating an imaginary artist, selecting a musical style to subsequently generate a concordant graphic, using images of people which could be taken from internet, personal use, of a friend, etc, thus building the style and genre of the artist.
Fue así como se hizo elección del género City Pop para la propuesta, estilo japonés de los años 80's que lleva sus orígenes en el dance pop, funk, soul, tropical, boogie y jazz fusión. Se tomaron así mismo, diferentes referentes visuales y musicales de la discografía, tales como "Platinum Best" de Miki Matsubara, "Windy Island" de Rina Atsuko y "Love Trip" de Takako Mamiya.

That's how the City Pop genre was chosen for the proposal, a Japanese style from the 80's that has its origins in dance pop, funk, soul, tropical, boogie and jazz fusion. Likewise, different visual and musical references were taken from the discography, such as "Platinum Best" by Miki Matsubara, "Windy Island" by Rina Atsuko and "Love Trip" by Takako Mamiya.
Dentro de los primeros acercamientos, se hizo un trabajo de color de una fotografía proporcionada por Larm Rmah en unsplash, acentuado los azules, saturando los rojizos y agregando un efecto de grano para dar un aspecto digno de los 80's. Por otra parte, en el lado izquierdo se trabajó una etiqueta recurrente dentro de la discografía japonesa, donde se utilizaron las tipografías Reina, Lora y MS Pgothic en los textos, uniendo y alineando todo bajo una grilla.

Within the first close-ups, a color job was done from a photograph provided by Larm Rmah on unsplash, accentuating the blues, saturating the reds and adding a grain effect to give a look worthy of the 80's. On the other hand, on the left side, a recurring label was worked within the Japanese discography, in which Reina, Lora and MS Pgothic fonts were used in the texts, uniting and aligning everything under a grid.
Sin embargo, posteriormente se realizó una búsqueda que acentuara más los colores rosáceos y formas geométricas, apuntando a un estilo fotográfico distinto que ayudara a concretar mejor el estilo musical del artista ficticio. Para ello se utilizaron las fotografías de Michelle Cho y June Kim en "La Muralla Roja" de Bofill, ubicada en España, probando en las diferentes propuestas las tipografías Lora, MS Pgothic y Helvetica Neue.

However, a search was made later to accentuate more the pinkish colors and geometric shapes, pointing to a different photographic style that would help to better specify the musical style of the fictional artist. For this, the photographs of Michelle Cho and June Kim were used in "La Muralla Roja" of Bofill, located in Spain, testing Lora, MS Pgothic and Helvetica Neue fonts in the different proposals.
