Filles Uniques is a personal project, which brings together my mother's photo archives. Not to provide her with a story she already knows, I put forward the views I held of these images as a young child, picking up details and ignoring chronology.

The book includes some home made Liberty patterns, because she always told me that they would be fashionable again one day, and I did not believe her. I also mistakenly thought I had composed the book in a typeface that she liked, Arno, whereas in fact it was Arlo.

This book therefore illustrates week the clumsiness we can display in order just to say I love you.
