Amazing Animals
Background
The idea behind this project was to choose an animal, and then study and create designs using different mediums and styles. The different categories required were: encyclopedia drawing, logos, gestural drawings, and transformation/reimagined drawings.
I chose the Giant Peacock Moth

The goal was to achieve a realistic drawing that captured the creature.
Materials used: graphite pencils and blending tools

for the final logo I decided on something simple yet bold that, as you can see, is legible at large and smaller sizes.
Gestures
the idea for this portion was to capture the essence of the creature. To be loose with your movements and to experiment with different mediums.

in this section we were tasked with making drawings that, while style capturing the essence of the creature, were completely different and reimagined.
