    This visualization explores the phenomenon of global “brain drain” in academic research, raising questions on the reasons why researchers choose to leave their home countries to pursue a career somewhere else.Combining three different sets of data we contrasted the number of researchers per million people (y-axis) with the percentage of the country’s GDP devoted to scientific R&D (x-axis), and complemeted with extra information to investigate the context of the phenomenon.
