As you know, there are very difficult times in Ukraine. On February 24, russia launched a full-scale war. that is why it is important now to be aware of our own unity and culture.
I present a project inspired by the classic of Ukrainian literature and a talented artist - Taras Shevchenko.
 _____________________
This is the first to be crucified
Our Ukraine,
And the second did
The widow of an orphan.
Executioners! Executioners! cannibals!

In these lines we are talking about the Russian Emperor Peter I and Catherine II, for russian tyrants, Shevchenko was more outspoken than anyone until recently. As we see that the policy of the rсussian autocrats towards Ukraine has not changed.
In Ukraine, we have been studying Shevchenko's works since junior classes, and now I understand why.
The next verse begins with lines:

It makes no difference to me,
If I shall live or not in Ukraine
Or whether any one shall think
Of me ‘mid foreign snow and rain.
It makes no difference to me.

However, it ends with the lines:

It makes great difference to me
That evil folk and wicked men
Attack our Ukraine, once so free,
And rob and plunder it at will.
That makes great difference to me.

Shevchenko believes in the inevitability of overthrowing the tsarist oppression, the revival of Ukraine.
He is not indifferent to the suffering of Ukrainians, to their future.
______________________
Lyakhi were, all taken away,
They drank blood! ..
And the muscovites and the world of God
They chained him.
Tarasov's mental warning about the Muscovites appears in the first lines of the poem "Catherine" (late 1838 - early 1839).

Fall in love, O dark-browed maidens,
But not with the Moscali,
For Moscals — they're foreign folk,
Bringing naught but grief.
The Moscal will love in jest,
And in jest abandon;
Return to his native land,
Leave the maid to slander . . .
____________________________
Жартуючи кине;

I love her so much
My poor Ukraine,
That I curse the holy God,
I will destroy my soul for her!
The poems of Taras Shevchenko are relevant today more than ever, they inspire Ukrainians to fight against the occupier. More than 200 years ago, he culturally rebelled against the russian Empire, and today all of Ukraine is opposed to it.
He fought for our freedom with words - in we fight with deeds!

Thank you for your attention.
