Square reminds me of facial recognition which we see on our phones or surveillance videos that captures our face. When I think about it, it makes the square seems terrifying in a way that it does not seem to be a shape you want to see whenever your face shows up. So, my square outcome is based on this fear of privacy invasion and create a threatened feeling in the audience. From a far, you see a patterned square but when you zoom in, you see people’s faces.

I want the audience to feel threatened and aware. I am being very skeptical about this face recognition system after the 5G network has been out there. I feel like my privacy is threatened with face recognition when it tracks everywhere I go. Squares could also symbolise perfection but at the same time, it triggers a different feeling in me, because it is the shape that has been used in these technologies.
I made collages by the faces I captured on the King's Cross live CCTV, every hour from 8am- 2pm London time.
