LUFFA Series 2.0
The side table takes advantage of the toughness of luffa and makes out of this material a robust table leg that supports the whole structure. The figures, the interior structures and the hollowed-out surfaces of these luffa items are all “grown” out of parametric algorithm by computer based on the structure and texture of luffa. The core of this design is the combination of modern digital printing technology and natural material.No matter how technology and AI will develop, people and technology should always learn from the nature. When Nature is not likely to be replaced by AI (Artificial Intelligence), Nature can be the teacher of AI and make technology a loyal follower.

边桌是利用丝瓜高强硬度的材料属性，将其作为整体的支撑结构。3D打印部分从外部造型到内部结构以及表面的镂空，均是用计算机参数化的算法沿着丝瓜的结构与纹理“生长”而成。本设计作品的核心是原始的自然材料与现代的数字化成型技术相结合。
无论技术和人工智能如何发展，人和科技都应该更多地向自然学习，与其说“自然”是无法被AI（人工智能）所取代的，不如让“自然”成为AI的老师，让科技追随于自然。
