The Trashion fab is the new project between Moda Sostenible Barcelona, Solidança Treball and Upcycling Barcelona. The Trashion Fab offers a new solution to textile waste in a unique and non-existent way in the market: it helps in the recovery and recycling of the waste generated, offers a selective collection service to garment workshops and training in eco-design.

The ecodesign training is carried out by the pedagogical team, which provides education in textile recycling techniques, cutting and sewing based on ecodesign. This training is being carried out at the ARED Foundation's facilities for three intensive weeks. The training and recruitment initiative serves the purpose of empowering the women participating in the project. 

The students are eight women in vulnerable situations, who are being prepared to work as textile waste recovery technicians and thus be able to meet the labor demands of the textile sector. Our goal is to improve efficiency in the management of resources and to counteract the impact of the garment industry on climate change.
