Flora and Flowers of the Pacific Northwest
In springtime, a wide array of flowers and plants decorate the forests and the shorelines of the Pacific Northwest promising a most beautiful hiking season. Edible berries such as blackberry, blueberry, salmon berry, and huckleberry also abound and are a dietary staple for the many forest critters who rely on them for survival. Enjoy their beauty but don't join the feast without doing your homework first. Not all berries are human friendly.
