QUOTE | COMMENT | QUESTION
a semester's journey through graphic design
this semester in graphic design, we investigated readings through the lens of an interactive "quotation, comment, question" structure – a "QCQ," if you will.
the "QCQ" came with a preliminary sketch from the recesses of my mind, in which I tried to embody the core message of the reading I undertook.
I posted these structured "QCQ" thoughts onto a tumblr blog (a favorite expressive platform of mine).
with my "QCQ" structure, I sought to learn more about

cultural appropriation here

the circulation of truth here and there

gender and sexuality here and there and hither

corporatism and global capitalism hither and there and here

conspiracy theories in the media there

western global dominance hither

anti-muslim sentiment here
finally, I spread all my "C"'s across an Illustrator artboard and stretched some of those preliminary sketches over my worded canvas into a final piece.
it highlights the link between design and information transfer, especially in relation to capitalism and branding.
