In this assignment, I'm required to study and research one font that I like and then make a set of 4 Type Specimen Posters for that font. The task also includes coming up with an innovative concept for the design based on the font background & story.
Scope is an interesting monolinear font with its angular corners. In my opinion, the font brings a feeling of machinery, robotics, and unfinished units (constructions). The designer made this font with a typographic interaction intention. As I read through Pelzer's website, I realized his font suits the style of brutalism and minimalism. Eventually, the concept of interactive brutalism was chosen. I try to use the original shapes of the typeface itself as design elements and arrange the type in a way that looks like it's moving.
