For the realization of the chair, we wanted to start primarily from the concept of light. This was then transformed into reflected light and thus into the transparency of the material. We chose a material that would have been able to reflect and refract the sunlight, to get a play of colors that gave movement to the seat. To counter it, we opted for a structure with rigid and squared lines, but with the same ability to reflect light, to make the theme of light continuous. For these reasons, the two materials chosen were aluminium for the structure and dichroic PVC for the seat and backrest. Dichroic PVC strips are placed side by side on the back and side of the chair and crossed on the seat, for resistance purposes. Aluminium was chosen for its low weight, great strength, and corrosion resistance. The name is the acronym of the keywords that represent the concept of the chair: “bubbles”, “reflection”, “interference” and “light”.
