Last fall I got a call from my friends at Ames Bros in Seattle, with an invitation to do this super fun Gameday Poster for the Seattle Seahawks vs Los Angeles Rams last October, 2021. 

It was exciting to get a call from Ames Bros and double exciting to be asked to make a poster for the Seahawks. Screen printed are the top of my list of things I love and Ames Bros are the Godfathers of posters. I basically had 10 days to get it done, so I quickly thought of a concept, sketched out a preview and sent it to Ames Bros / Seahawks for approval. After getting the thumbs up my process began, drawing pen & ink on tissue paper, inking up wood patterns, hawk characters, picture frames and cable knit sweaters. I scanned and vectorized the lot to begin making the layers of images and type. Getting it screen print ready is another process in itself, where you really have to think about the print layers and overlaying ink. Overall it was a huge success, Seizure Palace Screen Printing hit every little detail and each print was beautiful. The vibrant colors pop off the white artisan and silver foil paper.

This project had a few different stages, following the poster project, I packed my family up and road tripped to Seattle for the Seahawks game at Lumen Field. Part of the deal was we got tickets to the game and a grip of posters to do what we wanted with.
