Dwayne Haskins, Pittsburgh Steelers QB, Dies At Age 24

Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Dwayne Haskins Jr., a former Washington first-round draft pick in 2019, died this morning April 9, 2022 the incident occurred around 6:30 a.m. on I-595 between Interstate 95 north and south of Florida. Haskins was driving in his car and stopped and got out when he was struck by a dump truck. Haskins was 24 years old. The 24-year-old's death comes just a month before he was set to turn 25 on May 3rd. Haskins had been training in South Florida with other Steelers players, including running back Najee Harris. In his one season as a college football starter in 2018, Haskins threw 50 touchdown passes, still a Big Ten record, for Ohio State, leading the Buckeyes to a 13-1 record. He also was a finalist for the Heisman Trophy that season.
