komma is a platform for presenting projects of students of the Design Faculty of the University of Applied Sciences, Mannheim. The Magazine is entirely organized by the students themselves and every task is exclusively managed by the editors. The constellation of the team constantly changes and therefore every edition has its own topic and identity. Komma is a showroom for Bachelor-, Master-, Semester- and free projects. Every issue is sent to over 1200 leading names in the design scene. komma 11

komma11 concentrates on the topic „expectations“, especially with regards to content and optic. After you extricate the magazine from cord and pan liner, you will find it inconspicuously. With its “open” back and without cover, it seems to be complete naked. It begins with the editorial, directly. On a second glance, you will discover some chosen pages that are printed with glossed finished paper. We left out page numbers as well as a division into categories. So, we let things together that match together in different ways. For your orientation you only find a simple black sorting belt. To set a contrast to the ordinary surface, we added a three-sided color cut in dazzling gold.
