This image was actually a revamped version of my holiday card from last year, which you can check out here.
 
With Valentine's Day coming up, I thought what better way to celebrate then to finally make this foxy image dimensional like I've always wanted.  So here you have it: The Fox Cave.  Now 14 x 18 inches, and about 3.5 inches deep.

This version has no direct bright lighting, allowing for more texture and subtle shadows to be seen.  Here it looks less dimension and more illustrative.

Here the lighting really brings out the layers and depth in the piece, making the piece look much more dimensional.  I particularly like the shadow of the foxes and cave on the bottom layer of the piece.

Here's a bit of a peak into the construction of the piece.  For the first time, I wasn't able to start out with gluing pieces directly onto the background, but instead connect many pieces to eachother first with really allowed for some creative planning and careful moving.
