Confined Escape - Storytelling through space
An attempt at storytelling through the spatial and experiential medium. The background of the story is the subject of hikikomori - a condition in which a person confines himself in an indoor space for years together usually living in the virtual space or otherwise - an acute social withdrawal. Since it is often referred to as a social problem in Japanese discourse, the story is set in Tokyo. The protagonist is the friend of the subject who has come to visit him after
thirteen years.
