ASSOCIATION is a student publication representing Cornell’s College of Architecture, Art, and Planning, showcasing the innovative work of students, staff, and alumni to the greater Cornell community.
I earned the role of Editor in Chief after two years as a member, leading the design, layout, and content organization across many iterative team sessions. Working around the constraints of COVID lockdowns, we reconciled stakeholders' competing objectives of cost-effectiveness and material aesthetics.
I proposed a “parallel” theme referencing the edition’s numerals and expressing ties between projects. Manifested in a design concept inspired by moiré patterns, my idea framed the book’s visual direction. By appropriating this element in a dust jacket, I introduced a playful, kinetic feature to bring the idea of parallel to life.
