Periode 7
In this period of 2D Class,
I learned how to use color theory and realistic shading.
The following assignments have really helped me
with that in my artworks.
Assignment 1:
Contrast Colors
This assignment had us searching for cool contrast colors to use.
I used a double complementary palette. This was the result:
Assignment 2a:
Monochromatic Lighting
We practiced shading simple spheres by choosing a specific material.
I chose Light Plastic as it has a simple smooth but noticable glow covering it.
Assignment 2b:
Basic Shapes
We had to choose a texture and light direction for the shapes.
The texture I choose was Museum Blue, it looks soft but tight at the same time.
I also made the shadows blue to give it an extra effect.
Assignment 3:
Making a realistic painting with a soft brush.
We had to search our reference that we wanted to paint and a color scheme.
Here are the colors and the reference progress I came up with:
