Tensegrity Tischgestell / tensegrity tableframe
Mein Entwurf nimmt die Entwicklung aus der Architektur auf und setzt sie in den Kontext des Designs um. Er bietet eine Leichtbaukonstruktion, welche sehr leicht im Gewicht, leicht zu produzieren, leicht aufzubauen und leicht/günstig zu verschicken ist.
My draft takes up the development of the architecture and implements them in the context of design. It offers a lightweight construction, which is very light in weight, easy to produce, easy to build up and is easy / cheap to send.
Konstruktion / construction
Die Konstruktion besteht aus jeweils 3 Teleskopstagen und Seilen sowie jeweils 6 Seilumlenkungen, Seilhaltern, Rohrmanschetten und Auflagefüßen. Das Material ist Aluminium bei den Rohren und seinen Verbindungselementen sowie Stahl- oder wahlweise Kunststoff-Seil und Hartkunststoff bei den Auflagefüßen. Das Gewicht der Konstruktion begrenzt sich auf unter 1 kg. Die Maße im aufgebauten Zustand variieren je nach Einstellung der Teleskopstangen zwischen H70-85cm / B30-60cm / T30-60cm.
The construction consists of 3 telescopic rod and ropes and 6 cable guides, rope holders, pipe collars and support feet. The material is aluminum in the tubes and connecting elements as well as steel- or optional plastic-rope and hard plastic on the support feet. The weight of the construction is limited to less than 1 kg. The dimensions when assembled vary depending on the setting of the telescopic rods between Height 70-85cm / Width 30-60cm / Depth 30-60cm.
Was ist ein Tensegrity? / What is a Tensegrity?
Ein Tensegrity ist ein geschlossenes System bestehend aus Druckstäben und Zugseilen. Wenn alle wirkenden Kräfte aufgehoben werden, ist das System geschlossen und zu 100% belastbar. Die Entwicklung von tragenden in sich geschlossenen Systemen ist aus der Architekturforschung heraus entstanden. Feder führend ist hier Buckminster Fuller zu nennen, dessen Pionierarbeit die neuen Möglichkeiten erst eröffnete.
A Tensegrity is a closed system consisting of compression rods and traction ropes. If all forces are removed, the system is closed and could loaded to 100%. The development of carrying self-contained systems developed out from the architecture research. To responsible is mentioned here Buckminster Fuller, whose pioneering work opened the new possibilities at first.
Ideenfindung / idea generation
Bei den Überlegungen, wie man die Formgebung von geschlossenen Systemen nutzen könnte für eine Neugestaltung eines Tisches, kam mir die Idee ein Dreiecks-Gestell bestehend aus 3 Druckstäben und 3 Zugseilen zu nutzen.
While considering how to use the shape of closed systems for a redesign of a table, I got the idea to use a triangular frame consisting of 3 compression rods and 3 traction ropes.
Konzepterstellung / concept creation
Bei der weiteren Konzepterstellung machte es für mich Sinn die Konstruktion variabel zu halten. Daraus entwickelte ich die Möglichkeit das Gestell höhenverstellbar zumachen.
In the further concept creation it made sense to me to keep the construction variable. From this I developed the possibility to make the frame height adjustable.
Formgestaltung / shaping
Bei der Formgestaltung der einzelnen Verbindungselemente achtete ich auf einen homogenen Übergang der Bauteile, wie beispielsweise bei den Rohrmanschetten und Seilhalter. Die Füße der Konstruktion bekamen unterschiedliche Winkel und umschlossen die Beinrohre.
In the shaping of the individual connecting elements I respected on a homogeneous transition of the components, such as in the pipe collars and rope holder. The feet of the construction got different angles and encased the leg tubes.
