Waterfront

Boston, Massachusetts, April 2022
My niece came to Boston for a short visit. She was booked into a hotel near Boston Harbor, so we took a little stroll along the waterfront on this first mild spring day. Our tour took us past the ICA, the building with the large overhang, and ended in an elegant, glass-enclosed coffee shop. During our visit, the sun played hide-and-seek behind dark clouds, and yielded a hazy light that painted the town blue.

I believe the boat is the shuttle that takes museum patrons across the harbor to a converted factory where large works of art are displayed. The craft is named after Phillis Wheatedly, a former slave who became a famous, published poet in the 18th Century. A remarkable story!
