From ornaments to buildings, "Living with Stone" carries the culture in Taiwan. By using topography,photography, and 3D to study the different possibilities of "stone".The experimental design reverses the established impression of stone,traces the origin of stone, and enters the longitudinal valley to popularize the natural geomorphology and stone craftsman. Let the public to reacquaint themselves with the diverse beauty of Hualien stone.

縱谷之間 專刊
花蓮位於板塊交界處，擁有台灣80%的石頭資源，當地豐富的特有玉石，孕育出龐大的產業聚落，我們跨越中央山脈的隔閡，踏上花蓮這塊土地，深入縱谷、沿著海岸，在137公里的旅程尋覓「石」的關係，盤點構成地表的8種造岩礦物與20種在地特有玉石，踏訪建築板材、藝術石雕、賞石藏家三大石業的9位職人，瞭解在人文加工的淬煉下，進一步牽起石頭和生活。一路從零到多，接收花蓮各個角落的聲音，整合編撰《縱谷之間》專刊，從閱讀認識花蓮與石的重要性，視覺以外，透過不斷的翻閱、「碰觸」每個獨一無二的石頭，從來自縱谷的藝術品，將在地共同的情感傳達出去，讓民眾再次看見我們的故鄉。
Hualien is located at the junction of the plates, with 80% of Taiwan's stone resources, the local rich endemic jade, giving birth to a huge industrial settlement, we crossed the barrier of the central mountain range, set foot on the land of Hualien, deep into the longitudinal valley, along the coast on the 137-kilometer journey to find the relationship between "stone", inventory the 8 kinds of rock-making minerals and 20 kinds of locally unique jade that make up the surface, visit 9 professionals in the three major stone industries of architectural panels, art stone carving, and stone appreciation collectors, and understand that under the refinement of humanistic processing, stones and life are further linked.
All the way from zero to more, to receive the sounds of all corners of Hualien, to integrate and compile the special issue of "Between the Valleys", from reading to understand the importance of Hualien and stone, in addition to vision, through continuous reading, touching each unique stone, from the art from the Valley, the common emotions of the place will be conveyed, so that the public can see our hometown again.

Stones have coexisted with natural elements in the past and present, and will continue to create more forms in the future. The photo collection "Symbiotic Stone Laboratory" corresponds to the formation characteristics and texture of the stone, and presents the emotional imagination of the stone in different elements and combinations through the experimental field of choreography and photography.
