The old NOLS courses section was a series of static pages. The visitor could select one search criteria and was taken to a static page with a description, small images, and a static list of courses that applied. The course pages had some text, a few thumbnail images, and maybe an embedded youtube video. 

 

The new NOLS courses section allows visitors to select mutiple search criteria all at once to boil down over 100 course offerings to ones that peak their interests. The visitor can also compare courses side-by-side in a table format. Each detailed course page has big, pretty pictures and videos. All of the content is pulled in from a database. A course can be created and edited via a Django admin panel.
