Arthur C. Clarke once said, “Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic.” Plant and animal reproduction is a kind of magical process which current technology cannot replicate. My design emphasized the inherent magic of the randomly assigned seed pod by electronically levitating it within an organic shield whose form was inspired by the seed pod itself.
Yes, it really is levitating. There is an electromagnet in the base which has been covered and sculpted with clay.
The seed pod is sitting on a base with additional magnets and weights to create equilibrium.
