William Marler's profile

Adobe Student Showcase

On the 12th September 2013, I submitted my work to Adobe as part of a project they were running to find young creatives that use their products. The project is called the "Student Showcase" and is a way of Adobe advertising their products using students with what they consider to be good pieces of work, to demonstrate how powerful their programs are.
On the 16th October I had an interview with a firm representing Adobe in the UK, to better get a sense of my personality and to gain more information about my specific workflow and use of the programs.
On the 20th November, two members from Torpedo Group and two from Elrose Media came to my University to film me discuss myself, my past work, my use of the Adobe programs, and my future dream.
On the 10th of January, my student profile was released on the Adobe website, along with the top promotional image used to advertise Adobe Students UK's Facebook page.

Below are some stills and quotes from the final film.
"My name's William Marler, I'm doing Visual Communication: Animation & Moving Image at Birmingham CIty University."
"Animation to me is only a way of telling a story..."
"One thing that seperates Creative Cloud is that they're so connected."
"...it just feels like a different palette of tools but laid out in exactly the same way."
"My dream job is working at Pixar..."
"As long as I'm animating, I'm happy."
