The Sweet World of Bats

For my Visual Communication module, I was tasked to create a poster and structural invitation card based off of a chosen animal. My chosen animal was a cave nectar bat and the collaterals focused on depicting the bat in a friendlier way than usual and also focuses on their diet which consists of nectar, pollen, etc.
This poster was created to promote a hypothetical exhibition called The Sweet World of Bats at Singapore Zoo. The exhibition centers around the nocturnal Cave Nectar Bats and aims to put them in a more friendlier and cuter light. The exhibition is meant to educate on their diet as well, which not many would expect it to only consist of nectar, pollen, leaves etc.
We were tasked to create a structural invitation card for said event, with the aim of the card encapsulating the essence of the theme and the animal. My invitation card has the same colour scheme and branding as my poster. I incorporated pop ups and cut outs of the bats' silhouette, for some florals to peek through. The cover has a pull tab mechanism, which causes the bat to fly towards the flower, which is what Cave Nectar Bats do to hunt for food.
