Cate Blanchett
Hard to explain my process here, but this is composed of a couple pencil drawings, a couple micron pen drawings, a watercolor painting and bit of digital manipulation.
"Frame" is based on Cate's stunning 2011 Givenchy Oscar dress.
I'm a huge fan of Veronica Mars and currently re-watching the series in anticipation of the upcoming film (!), so I felt inspired to paint a portrait of VMars herself (choker and pigtails included).
This piece was completed using watercolor, colored pencil and ink on bristol. Dimensions are 9"x12".

These three paintings were made for my younger sister as a Christmas gift. They are three of her favorite people-- hard to explain beyond that.
They are on 5" x 7" canvas panels and are painted with acrylic and copious amounts of glitter.
