Words by Yan is the name of my personal blog, created using a self-hosted instance of Ghost CMS.

The theme is a slightly altered version of the default Casper theme, with my "dark blue diamond" background motif.

I use a sans-serif font for headings, in this instance the recently released Outfit font I found on Google Fonts.

I've always found grotesque(?) typefaces to be quite visually appealing, and I plan on making it my main font for branding. My current sans-serif of choice is Inter, which is still on my personal website, but it looks like that might change very soon!

The main body text is rendered in serif, and for that I chose to use IBM Plex Serif. Not much reason other than the fact I used IBM Plex Sans extensively in my other projects, and I enjoy how it looks and pairs with my sans-serif of choice.

The logomark is a lower-case letter Y (for "Yan"), with the stroke on the right side edited to look like a pen or pencil.

The logotype is in the same sans-serif as the theme, Outfit, and is generally uniform except for the letter W in "Words", which has been slightly cut at the beginning for aesthetics.
