[Packaging] TESCO Whole Green Olive Label Design

I chose Whole Green Olive among TESCO’s products to redesign the label. While looking at the description of the product, I found that they emphasized the ‘freshness’ of the product. So when I thought about my idea, I came up with a “classic mood” for olive first, and a second thought of design that emphasized the characteristic of “freshness.”

The first design used a realistic drawing of olives as the main graphic element, and I tried to emphasize the classical mood of olives. In particular, the form of labels seemed to be boring if I use basic shapes, so I tried to support my intentions using the form of a house. The second idea was to design a label by creating a pattern using olives. I wanted to use a circle, the form of olives, to give a cute and lively mood. However, unlike other ideas, I decided that it was a commonly used the type of design and it has no special intention, so I did not proceed. Finally, I wanted to emphasize the “freshness” of the product. While thinking about the design, it occurred to me that ‘olives were so fresh that birds would even pick up the fallen olives!’ So I express this image uniquely with a cute and fairy tale-like illustration.
