Dan Hortop's profile

Hotpoint / Ariston SDA Packaging Concept

During recent times the economic climate has meant that fewer people are moving house, this has had a
knock on effect with less ‘white goods’ being purchased to furnish homemovers new abodes. People are
tending to extend or re-furnish their homes accessorizing with new Small Domestic Appliances.
Italian electricals giant Indesit have recognised that the Small Domestic Appliance market represented an
untapped opportunity for them. Indesit have designed and created an innovative range of 85 products
which complement each other and want product packaging to:
• Create a stir, being visible on shelf as a newcomer.
• Look appealing and desirable in line with a medium price positioning.
• Evoke effectiveness, quality and durability.

The angle: ‘focussing on the positives’
“My home is the place where I enjoy spending time with my family. However, living in my home also means having to do chores that can sometimes be boring... cleaning, ironing, blending, juicing, toasting, boiling”.

A colourful editorial approach, focussing on end results and enjoying life!
