Synopsis
This video clip is about Colombian Christmas traditions (especially in Medellin). We live this month as a frenetic feast (it is nearly a carnival), it is consecrated to the hyper stimulation of the senses: Little lights blink and transform the city's landscape in a dizzy manger; our smell and taste buds rejoice themselves with all the fried food; the arrhythmic percussion of the fireworks explodes in the valley while cumbia pops out from every corner; Tight dancing and drunk hugs. In the end the alcohol will sedate us and it will take us back to a sweet childish sleep.
Baby Jesus is the one in charge of bringing the gifts during Christmas in Colombia. He comes to bring us toys made in China, but unfortunately there won't be enough for everybody. He will need to keep on doing the math in his little excel table.

Nace un clásico de la música decembrina colombiana, un neo villancico de las Monjas en celo.
Este video clip escudriña las tablas de Excel del Niño dios y viaja por Medellín en diciembre, el mes que llega a salvarnos del tedio y nos arrastra a la hiperestimulación de todos los sentidos: las lucesitas que titilan y transforman a la ciudad en un pesebre vertiginoso; los fritos que regocijan nuestras papilas gustativas y guían nuestro olfato; la percusión arrítmica de la pólvora que traquea en el valle mientras la cumbia resuena en las cuadras; los bailes apretados y los abrazos de borrachos. Finalmente acabaremos sedados bajo un profundo sueño de anís.
El niño dios va a Japón -El Hueco- a abastecerse de chécheres hechos en China. Lastimosamente no le alcanzará para todos. Tendrá entonces que seguir haciendo cuentas en su tablita de Excel.
