“The Wedding Singer” produced by Shawnee Mission East High School

 

This poster I wanted to be vibrant and extremely eye catching, while also using elements from the show like the 80’s aesthetic. The bright colors are from the logo which have the blocks and I just expanded from there. The black border is to make sure the logo does not get lost when looking at the poster, it’s most important that people can see the title. Originally the dots were confetti pieces that were “falling” off the top, this was later changed to dots to fit better with the 80’s theme and simply it, the triangle was added for some extra flair. 

 

Now the rest of the poster came from, of course, a wedding topper which I thought would be perfect for Robbie Hart’s blue jacket and him singing for his pose just fits perfectly. Fun fact, I drew him and the cake on my personal tablet, the lack of a face is simply cause they are difficult and I think it looks better anyways. The cake colors contrast well and the font is set to resemble an icing.
