From Thunderbolt's Lookout

Captain Thunderbolt was an Australian Bushranger who lived in New South Wales from 1835 to 1870. He was known for being "gentlemanly" and avoiding violence. He roamed from the Hunter Valley up to the border of Queensland. He was an excellent horseman and bushman. He was killed by an off-duty policeman in 1870.

These photos were made at the lookout named after him in Torrington Nature Reserve approximately 40 kms north of Glen Innes.
