Elk Studios Casino Games 2016-
Since starting at Elk Studios autumn 2016, I have worked on nearly 30 casino games. Here are a selection of the ones I'm the happiest with, with the ones that I had the most fun working on and best reflect my input at the top. Some at the bottom were quick polish of symbols etc. Most of these projects have two full time artists, with some input from art director etc, usually with the same number of animators and programmers.
PIROTS 2
After the massive success of Pirots, a sequel was inevitable. I think the team has managed to improve on most of the things that made the first game such a hit, and the game balancing is less relying on hitting a bunch of coins for the big wins to happen. Here's to doing Pirots 3 some day.
PIROTS
By far the biggest release so far from Elk Studios, almost double of the runner up (which is also below). Fun and playful project, even I have yet to tire of seeing people playing this online.
BOOK OF TORO
The game I enjoyed working on the most, although I would have liked to have more time. I just thought everybody delivered their best, very slick final product. Still one of the best performing games for Elk.
ECUADOR GOLD
The first, and some of us agree, the best of the series, which has become by far the longest running franchise for Elk. Nobody had any idea at the time that it would receive so many sequels.
NITROPOLIS 3
At the moment the third best performing release of Elk. Having worked on the first game, which I was not happy with, I was not keen on going back to this franchise, but it turned out I had more freedom and in the end it I was happier with the result.
CYGNUS 2
The third gravity game that I worked on (after IO and Bompers), a sequel to an admired game that I had not at all been involved with, the pressure was on to not screw up the legacy. I think we managed, the game is currently the second best performing Elk release and has managed to stay at the top for almost a year now.
CYGNUS 3
The jackpot wheel has a bit of a love it or hate it feel to it (although I will not share what side I belong to here).
ROUTE 777
This was a slow burner, it did pretty good in the beginning, but nothing special. Then it just continued to grow and grow and now it has made more money than any other game in the company's history, only beaten by Wild Toro.
