Project :
Design and construct an energy efficient and sustainable luminaire that could be massed produced by lighting manufactures.
Design Concept :
The concept for this lighting fixture is to produce a globe shape luminaire that mimics mid-century modern design and esthetics. The fixture will be made up of several individual rotating panels which would allow one to adjust for preferred light level and personal customization.
Concept Imagery
Because of the concealed characteristic of the mid-century style, neutral colors and geometrical graphics would be the desire. Regarding the materials, sustainable materials such as rapid renewable plants, recycle papers, and vinyl would be used. With all this elements, we expect that our design of a globe-shape luminaire is able to create a affordable, delightful, and playful luminaire in any home style.
