і на епізоди війни загалом.
* 24 лютого 2022 року росія розпочала повномасштабну війну проти України.

The collection of visual images of places of Ukraine
(in a format of background images for smartphones),
in a way it is my try to reflect on the current news
and on the war episodes.
* on February 24 2022 russia started full scale war against Ukraine.

** The photos, I’ve use as a backgrounds, have been taken from the website unsplash.com

* Mariupol is unconquerence

** The city of Mariupol is probably suffering the most in this war. Constant and massive russian bombarding, endless missile strikes, all this have destroyed the city and created horror humanitarian catastrophe. Despite af all Mariupol is keep standing, and fighting back.

* Sumy is resilience and courage

** The city of Sumy is an old city with a great history. Since February 24 it has been under constant attack by the russian army. Despite the hard situation the city kept stand and fighting off russians. Later the city and the whole region was liberated from russians.

* Chernihiv is unbreakable legend.

** Since February 24 the city of Chernihiv is resisting russian invasion. During all this time the city is under constant air strikes of russian army. Despite of all, the city keep fighting. Later the city and the whole region was liberated from russians.

* Mykolaiv is a confidence and freedom

** The city of Mykolaiv is located in southern Ukraine. It is arguably the main shipbuilding center of the Black Sea. Since beginning of the russian invasion many clashes and battles happened around the city, but russians has been stopped on this destination.

* Kharkiv is inviolable strength

** Beautiful city of Kharkiv, one of the biggest cities in Ukraine. As many other places in my country is under constant russian attacks. The city is really close to the state border, so russia was often shelling it with the missiles from it's own territory, as a result, more than 1000 buildings were destroyed, and the number of victims of civilians is huge...However the city keeps standing, and fights back.

* Trostianets is endurance and freedom

** The city of Trostianets was recaptured from russians by Ukrainian army on March 26. The city suffered major damage, biggest part of buildings is destroyed. Currently the works on demining are being held. After this it will be possible to begin rebuilding…

* Okhtyrka is a real steel

** Small and cozy city in the Sumy region. The fighting for it began on February 24. During these days Okhtyrka experienced huge destruction and civilian losses from russian shelling and missile strikes. The city stopped russian on its direction, and did not let go further into Ukraine. It keeps fighting and resisting the invaders.Later the city and the whole region was liberated from russians.

* Bycha, it is what has no excuse, it is what must be revenged

** On April 2 the whole Kyiv region was liberated from russians. Many cities and villages were ander russian occupation for a month or so. A bit later, we and the whole world were able to see the results of the occupation.
Bucha, Irpin, Hostomel and others were literally sown with killed peaceful citizens.
russians were literally providing henocide toward Ukrainians. This horrific crime can not be forgiven, never.

* Kyiv is the calmness and greatness

** The capital of Ukraine was under multiple missile attacks from the very beginning of the invasion. Many people left the city. The situation in the suburb was extremely tense (Bucha and Hostomel are the cities satellites of Kyiv). However, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have fought back the russian troops from the borders
of the city and from the Kyiv region.

* Lviv it is hospitality, even in such time

** Since the beginning of the russian invasion the city of Lviv became the main transport hub for Ukrainians who were fleeing from the war. Endless hundreds of thousands of people were arriving there, some on their way to Western countries, some to stay in for a while or to decide where to go next.
And I believe, in Lviv, all of them got help and some relief after the horrors of the war.

* Odesa is the sea of power

** Great city of Odesa is a beautiful touristic place on the bank of the Black sea. Since the beginning of the full scale invasion, russian troops attacked it several times (all attacks were repealed), also multiple times the city was shelled with missiles. These days Odesa is keeping standing and keeps preparing for possible attacks.

* Kherson is fearlessness.

** On March 1, the city was occupied by the russian army.
Starting from this moment, citizens are regularly organising protests against occupation.
Despite the deadly danger, people with national symbols are keep gathering,
and showing to invaders that Kherson is Ukraine.

* Konotop it is supernatural and magic

** In the first days of the invasion, the russian army encircled the city of Konotop. However, for some reason they were not able to occupy it. russians were simply staying in the fields and forests around. Possibly they were scared of being spelled by local witches (the city of Konotop is well known from the folk literature as a city of witches).

* Chornobaivka

** Chornobaivka is the small village near Kherson, where russian troops have been defeated multiply times.

* Crimea is Ukraine

** It is important to remember, this war began in 2014, when russia annexed Crimea. On February 24 2022 russia decided to move farther, to continue, and to expand the horror crime they began 8 years ago. When the war will be finally over - the flag of Ukraine will be waving over Crimea again.

Thank you for attention.
Glory to Ukraine!
