SAND SHADES APARTMENT

SAND SHADES APARTMENT
interior design project

ARCHITECT: Valeria Gubarevich | STUDIO: ZROBIM Architects | LOCATION: Minsk, Belarus | YEAR: 2022

ABOUT PROJECT

The apartment for the family with two kids. This project was interesting because of clients personalities – they are designers and clearly know what they wanted to see as a result. The main task was to catch the direction which was in their minds, rethink our conversations and discussions and convert it to design.
- LAYOUT -
The layout firstly had just several load-bearing columns that allowed creating two separated bedrooms and common space of kitchen and living room which are divided by pylon.
The clients spend most of the year in a warm country by the ocean. This circumstance left its mark on the interior: a pleasant warm palette of sandy shades, a lot of  wooden elements of a light natural color.Living area logically continues kitchen area with same sand color pallet – the accent is dark orange with brown upholstery of sofa and chairs as a reminder of a desert dunes.
- MASTER BEDROOM -
Master bedroom contains the bed itself, spacious wardrobe with smoked-glass doors and make-up table. All corners on furniture are smooth – it helps to avoid bulky effect and add comfort. It was a very strong clients’ recommendation.
- KIDS ROOM -
In kids rooms the main task is always to create children-friendly space where they could use all the furniture pieces by themselves. It influences on ergonomic of the space and dimensions of the furniture of course. Here for example, wardrobes were divided to two levels, so small kids can open the doors without effort. The wall from the left side of the door was covered with wall painting, because the clients’ child likes to carefully study the world map.
