Creative Challenge:
With the advent of the multimedia tablet, such as the iPad, an opportunity for TASCHEN has arisen to produce digital publications for these devices. Using the 30th Anniversary edition of the magazine as a template, I created a digital format of the publication that makes full use of a tablets capabilitIes.
With the advent of the multimedia tablet, such as the iPad, an opportunity for TASCHEN has arisen to produce digital publications for these devices. Using the 30th Anniversary edition of the magazine as a template, I created a digital format of the publication that makes full use of a tablets capabilitIes.
I created two different viewing styles for the App, static and fluid. Static being for those who prefer to read on tablet devices like you would a book and fluid, for those who like to customise and interact with their content.
The interface follows Apple OS rules and integrates features such as storing data, the abaility to 'favourite' media, 'follow' other users, review products, recommend, share files, articles and more. The app archives past and present books and magazines allowing the user to keep up to date on new releases and preserve their previous purchases
