'Checkmate' is my first collection of clothing which I made during my studies at university. This is a collection of the black-and-white knitted clothing in the graphic style made of cotton, bamboo and half-woollen yarn.
The idea of this collection is inspired by the eternal theme which stays relevant at all times: the theme of the eternal contrast, the theme of the sequence of periods in our lives, like a game – like a chessboard field; the theme of the Yin and Yang contrast, of the masculine and feminine origins, of the modern business and at the same time graceful and fascinating woman; changing of sadness and joy, like a bright contrast of the black-and-white tracery which gets mixed up on the stockinet.
