The aim of this project was to capture stories of some elder people in a tangible contemporary visual story telling form using textile techniques and practices such as hand applique, patch work and embroidery.
This lamp is designed in such a way that if lights are off you can see only the large hand. This would be the representation of the hand of an aged person. But. when you turn on the light, you could se a small hand's image onto it. Though only the shadow of the small hand is on it. Here, the small hand represents our hand receiving out to the old. even if we are not with them physically always. We can always connect to them, though our thoughts.
