This was a re-branding of Discovery Theater, a children’s center for the cultural arts and education
in Washington, DC.

Discovery Theater specialized in puppet shows originally, before moving on to a wider range of other entertainment and culturally-based ventures. As such, I decided to create a quirky, puppet-like character (Gerald) as the identity of the theater. The logo portrays Gerald as the traditional comedy and tragedy masks, to merge both the childish, fun aspects of the company with the more serious tone of theater.

A suite of identity collateral was created for this project, including a style guide, a stationery package
and various promotional items such as an infant's onesie, finger puppets and crayons.
