Digital painting is often compared to traditional painting.
It uses the same fundamental notions of art as for any other traditional discipline: perspective, composition , color , lights , anatomy and , of course , the artist's originality and artistic sensitivity.
For a more detailed definition, consider as painting all those works that present a painted surface not exclusively based on drawing lines and not generically colored , which follows a certain style. And for digital the use of an interface that connects the artist to a hardware and software platform. Digital painting adapts traditional painting media (such as acrylic paint , oils , and ink) to a digital version.
Digital painting is also commonly called computer graphics (definition now considered incorrect) a generic term that indicates all the graphic techniques created on the computer , including photo retouching , technical and artistic 3D graphics , technical drawing.
The artist uses painting and drawing techniques with the stylus that comes with the graphics tablet to create 2D paintings within a digital art software.
There are multiple techniques and tools that are utilized by digital artists , the first being digital brushes.
Then there are techniques with which to transform an image into a beautiful painting.
Excluding all those Apps thanks to which everything is done automatically , without free artistic expression , in my case I used Photoshop with specially created brushes.

A process in which painting or drawing takes place in a digital environment. Starting with the availability of computer graphics software for personal use in the 1990s , technological transformations have allowed painting to migrate from canvas to screen.
Contemporary artists can now access a wider variety of artistic tools , such as customizable brushes and virtual palettes , which enable immediate and precise painting effects.
Digital gestures can be captured via keyboard commands , graphics tablets , mouse movements , or swipes of the touchscreen , while advances in inkjet printing allow computer-generated paintings to inhabit the walls of a physical gallery space.
In my works I always add an effect that I love to call "murals".
It is as if they are carved out of concrete.
