Raptor Technologies
Based on our discovery workshop, Raptor has several demographics that have different needs and actions throughout the site. I reorganized the navigation to reflect the newly discovered audience breakdown and help users flow through the site with ease.
In tandem with strategy I started a mood board to illustrate the type of elements, shapes, illustrations, photos, etc. After getting internal by-in on the mood board I established a base for interface elements, shapes and colors.
Once we have a good handle on the interface elements I move to a flat mock-up. I use the actual content provided by the client in the previous content collection phase to populate the sections.
Below is the style guide provided to the client to help them understand the decisions that went into their newly designed site.
As usual, websites evolve throughout the iterative design process. Decisions are made and designs shift. Overall the Raptor site came out clean, approachable and user-friendly.
