Analogue darkrooms are closing at a dramatic rate. In 2006, there were more than 200 commercial darkrooms run by printers in London, but by the end of 2012 there were only six left. Today there are approximately only 180 colleges and universities in the UK who still have darkroom facilities.
This book is a visual study of the darkroom at Oxford & Cherwell Valley College. It is an intimate investigation of this ramshackle space and serves as a kind of lament to what soon will be extinct.
