A stop motion gif for a Google search page. These series of images each shot, then the tissue moves further away from inside the letters to outside. The material I used are assorted color crumbled pieces of tissue paper.
The motion starts on the upper left with the tissue paper spelling out the letters, then with each shot, the crumbled papers move out of the letters with more added to fill the frame. By the end, the whole frame is covered in crumbled tissue paper and the negative space spells out the name on the bottom right. I took the images with my Canon DSLR on a tripod then added basic edits in Adobe Lightroom Classic, and finally switched over to Adobe Photoshop to set up the stop motion. Adobe Illustrator was used to set up all the frames on one page.
Here is my behind the scenes showing the tissue paper up close and what some of the original images looked like. The gif was my original project using just the letter G and experimenting with a material in stop motion. For the Google project, I used white paper as the background so that I can take the background out and there wouldn't be a shape on the laptop mockup. I also added a white feather around the border to prevent the harsh cut off of the tissues creating a border.
